Abstract
A brief history on Census of Population:
The implementation of the population censuses in Egypt began with Census 1882 (The Scout for Egyptian Homes and the Counting of Its Souls), then the decimal periodic censuses were applied starting from the next census, which was conducted in 1897 until 1947. 1960 was census
In 1966, a population and housing census was conducted using the sampling method.
* The 1976 and 1986 censuses were conducted (using two forms, one of which was long form for 20% of the families and a short form for the rest of the families), then the 1996, 2006 census using one form for all families.
* Implemented the electronic census 2017 (using two short forms for 90% of the families, a long form for the rest of the families with ratio of 10%.
Units of Analysis
*Census depends on the comprehensive inventory method for all members of society, buildings and facilities located in the International, where the electronic census is defined as: it is the complete automation of a work cycle for all census activities based on tablets, electronic applications and geographical maps up to the building level, and the transfer of data collected in the field using slides Mobile phones with tablets to the main data center of CAPMAS, secured through electronic systems.

Third: Establishments: characteristics of establishments. Year of practicing the activity, the type of activity, the legal entity of the establishments, the number of employees in the establishments, the number of permanent and temporary employees, does the establishments have branches or not,
