Overview
CAPMAS is pleased to continue issuing of "Monthly Bulletin of Foreign Trade Data", which was issued depending on January 2008 according to statistical guide for harmonized tariff items consisting of (10) limits and prepared according to harmonized tariff terms issued by Presidential Decree No. (39) for 2007 on 5 February 2007. This issue includes accumulative data from January to July 2017. The harmonized tariff is aimed at achieving the following objectives.1-Setting comparative data of international trade for trade,economic and international negotiations.
3- Building a new structure for commodities, whether by integrating,dividing and detailing of main chapters and items to meet international trade and statistics requirements.
4- Developing customs tax structure in accordance with financial and economic reform to be suit with economic and social conditions.
- Foreign trade statistics within CAPMAS is based on general trading system and include customs certificates which are submitted to CAPMAS after customs clearance during the bulletin issued month (commodity flow).
The monthly summary of foreign trade data includes:
1. Trade Balance.
2. Imports and exports according to Ports.
3. The most important imports and exports (according to commodity groups and commodities).
4. Geographical distribution (according to regions and the most important countries).
5. Free zone imports and exports with the local market according to commodity group.
6. Free zone imports and exports with world countries according to commodity group - geographical distribution)
That CAPMAS issues monthly bulletin of foreign trade data series in order to achieve the desired objectives .
