Sampling

Sampling Procedure

The sample size of the current survey reached 24,863 households, 45.4% of these housholds are in urban aread while 54.6% were in rural areas. The sample is proportionately distributed on the governorate level between urban and rural areas in order to make the sample representative even for small governorates.
This sample is divided into two parts:
1- A new sample of 16,094 households selected from the main enumeration areas.
2- A panel sample of 8,769 households selected from the 2010-2011 and 2008-2009 survey data.
