Introduction to the Bulletin

I. Purpose of the Bulletin: To identify size and characteristics of the community of foreigners working in private and investment sector in Egypt to accomplish some development programs, especially programs that need advanced technology.

II. Bulletin Coverage: The annual bulletin includes distribution of foreigners working in private and investment sectors in terms of the country of origin groups (nationality, main professions, type of contracting, destination of issuing licenses authority in governorates, economic activity categories).

III. Data Sources: Data are collected annually by Ministry of Manpower.

IV Bulletin Periodicity: The bulletin is issued annually (for a calendar year period).

V. Availability Methods: Hard copy / CD / website.

Abstract

First - The objective of the bulletin: To identify the size and characteristics of the community of foreigners who have obtained a license to work in the private and investment sectors in Egypt. Business owners may not employ foreigners unless they have obtained this license. The state is working to facilitate the procedures for licensing foreigners to work in Egypt to attract small investors and establish small projects in Egypt.

Second - Bulletin coverage: The annual bulletin includes the distribution of foreigners who have obtained a license to work in the private and investment sectors in terms of (groups of countries they come from - nationality - main professions - type of contract - authority issuing work licenses in the governorates - categories of economic activity).

Third - Data sources: Ministry of Manpower.

Fourth - Bulletin periodicity: The bulletin is issued annually on a regular basis for a calendar year.
