Housing sector relate to the political system of the State, where the housing policy considers part of the state public policy, to provide appropriate housing or shelter for every individual in the community, because its basic necessities for the human existence like water and garments, for it protects the human from any inappropriate conditions.

Purpose of the bulletin:

The purpose of this bulletin, is to shed the light on the State’s efforts in the Housing sector in Egypt: housing units implemented by the governmental sector, public/public business sector and private sector, by the type of building and governorate year 2019/2020

Analytical Unit: A- Data Sources: Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, including the housing units executed by (the governmental sector, public/public business sector and private sector) by type of building (law cost – economic – average – above average – luxury – national project) distributed on the governorates level, also, includes project of Dar Misr and Sakan Misr (Average housing) Janet Misr (luxury housing) and Social Housing project (million unit) implemented by (Construction Entities – directorates of housing – Authority of new urbanization communities) which started the implementation in year 2013/2014
