Overview
CAPMAS is pleased to continue issuing"Monthly Bulletin of Foreign Trade",which issued from January 2008 according to Statistical guide for Harmonized Tariff items that consist of 10 characters and prepared according to the harmonized tariff terms issued by the Republic President Decree No.(39) for 2007 on 5 February 2007. This release includes cumulative data from January to December 2019.
Harmonized Tariff aims to:
1-Put a unified description of commodities for commercial and productive purposes.
2-Provide comparative data for international trade for Trade,Economic and International negotiations.
3-Building a new structure for commodities,either by integration or division and detailing of main chapters and items to meet Trade and International statistics requirements.
4-Developing customs tax structure in implementation of financial and economic reform plan to suit economic and social conditions.
Foreign trade statistics in CAPMAS depend on the general trading system that include customs certificates that are supplied to CAPMAS after customs clearance during the bulletin issuance month (commodity flow).
The monthly summary of foreign trade data includes:
1-Trade Balance.
2-Imports and exports according to ports.
3-The most important imports and exports (according to commodity groups and commodities).
4-Geographical distribution (according to regions and the most important countries).
5-Free zone imports and exports with local market according to commodity group.
6-Imports and exports of free zones with world countries according to commodity group - Geographical distribution
CAPMAS issues a series of Monthly Bulletin of foreign trade to achieve the desired objectives.

Scope
The scope of Annual Bulletin of Foreign Trade includes the following: 1-Trade Balance.
2-Imports and exports according to ports.
3-The most important imports and exports (according to commodity groups).
4-Trade exchange between Egypt and all world countries according to Economic blocs.
