Data collection
Non-petroleum imports, are obtained through Customs Authority website, through it’s Central Administration of Statistics.
Exports data is provided by (G.O.E.I.C) through a statistical form designed specifically for this purpose.
Ministry of Petroleum are the source of petroleum exports and imports .
Ministry of Electricity and Energy is the source of export and import energy data

Since January 2008, it began to apply the general system including all custom clearance system , which represents all imported and exported commodity flows through the Egyptian ports and applied the manual statistics of the 10 digits of (Harmonized Customs Tariff ) following a presidential decree No. (39) of 2007 dated (5th February ,2007).
