<![CDATA[Economic census data has great importance as it provides the opportunity to:
- Build national accounts and monitor GDP,whether at national or local level for each governorate.
- Carry out specialized studies for - different types of establishments (micro, very small, small and medium) whose data is available from economic census.
- A comprehensive counting for all economic units, within certain geographical limits during a specific period of time (fiscal / calendar year), in order to collect, classify, evaluate, analyse and publish basic data for all establishments (No. of workers, wages, production requirements, production, fixed assets, added value of employees, wages, production requirements, production, fixed assets, added value).

Comprehensive coverage of economic censuses is achieved through dealing with multiple sources:
- Collecting data regularly on a regular basis within current statistics system framework through fulfilment of different economic activity units of the required data forms.
- The administrative records that provide a framework for establishments in various activities
, in addition to providing the required information or some of it for the specified time periods,
- Using samples to collect detailed data on some specific characteristics of economic units that are not covered by previous sources, taking into account the sample efficiency in representing the economic units under study.]]>

Validation rules have been prepared for economic census and current statistics forms to ensure accuracy, validity, consistency of data and provide the information technology sector with it for downloading on the tablet.
Some indicators are calculated from the collected data as average wages, employment, profit and loss and compare them with other sources to ensure consistency of data, in case of discovering basic differences we have to refer to the field to verify data.
Work teams of General Administration of Quality Control implement their own work plans:
* Recompiling data for a number of forms and comparing them with previously collected forms.
* Confirm data accuracy level of the collected data by Call back the visited facilities using a brief sample prepared for each form separately (CALL BACK).]]>
